How it works and why it fits.

Ceiling-suspended (also called floor-ceiling or under-ceiling) units mount flat against the ceiling, or low on a wall, and throw air horizontally across the room. They give cassette-like coverage without a false ceiling, which makes them a good fit for exposed-slab interiors, older buildings, restaurants and workshops.

Choose a cassette if you have a false ceiling and want a flush look. Choose ceiling-suspended where there's no false ceiling or you need longer air throw.

Is it suitable for kitchens?

For dining areas, yes. Commercial kitchens need extra filtration and regular coil cleaning because of grease.
